Instituted: 30 November 2003 as the Mendi Decoration for Bravery and renamed on 22 October 2004 (the insignia did not change).

Awarded: For outstanding courage displayed whilst saving life or property in the face of danger.

Grades: 3 (Gold, Silver and Bronze).
