Ribbon: Light blue with narrow dark blue edge stripes.

Instituted: 6 June 1956 in a single class (Silver Medal), the other 2 classes being added on 14 October 1959.
Discontinued: 18 December 2013, being replaced by the Medal of Youth, Sports and Community Engagement.

Awarded: For services to young people in the area of physical education and sport, mostly by coaches and administrators. Once expanded to 3 claases awards were based on length of service.
