Awarded: To Royal family, ladies and gentlemen who had previously been in the service of the Royal Family, and to persons employed in the Royal Palaces to mark Gustav V's birthday on 16 June 1948. It was also awarded to members of the foundation which was established to collect money to support the Swedish youth volunteer activity.
