Reinstated: 5 August 2010 as Order of the Cross of Independence.

Awarded: To people who contributed actively to the independence of Poland in the period before or during World War I and during the the Polish military battles in 1918-1921.

Grades: 3 (Cross of Independence with Swords, Independence Cross, and Independence Medal).
