Ribbon: Red and white narrow horizontal stripes with white edges and one to three blue stripes to show number of wounds.

Instituted: 8 April 1843.

Awarded: To those killed or injured in combat.

Grades: 2.

Gilt - for those killed or seriously injured, with ribbon for 3 wounds. Gilt, Obverse Gilt, Reverse
